Our products provide higher stability in storage, better application properties, greater water resistance, and improve the surface finish of the emulsions once they have dried.

Due to their absorbent and rheological properties, we have products that provide, in the different fields of application in the sector of asphalts, flow control at high temperatures, improvements in stability and surface finishes, and reduce the evaporation of volatile fractions.

Waterproofing Membranes

Bituminous waterproofing membranes are preformed laminar products, usually manufactured in the form of rolls and used for roof waterproofing.

The waterproof base for these membranes is a bitumen mastic composed of fillers, polymers (such as SBS – Styrene Butadiene Styrene or APP – Atactic Polypropylene), and asphalt bitumen.

Sound Dampening Sheets

Sound dampening sheets are bituminous based systems with high content of mineral fillers usually applied as a profiled sheet or coating in the automobile industry.

Anionic & Non-ionic Emulsions

  • Anionic Emulsions: Anionic emulsions are created by dispersing very fine drops of bitumen/asphalt in water; these drops are stabilised by the effect of anionic surfactants added in the mix.
  • Non-Ionic Emulsions: Non-ionic emulsions are created by dispersing very fine drops of bitumen/asphalt in water; these drops are stabilised by the effect of non-ionic surfactants and/or clays added in the mix.

Solvent Asphalt Coatings

One possible way of applying a layer of bitumen/asphalt for protection is to dilute it using an appropriate solvent.

This formulation requires a rheology modifier in order to provide stability and sagging control to the system, since protection coatings for sound reduction, waterproof coating and chip resistance are applied at high thickness rates.

Mastics/Crum Rubber Modified Asphalt

Crumb rubber has proven to be one of the only admixtures derived from waste material (tires) that has a beneficial impact and actually improves performance of hot mix asphalt.
