Tunnelling

Oil & Gas

Tolsa has a wide range of additives specially designed for drilling fluids used in oil and gas exploration works. Our products are made to support water-based sludge as well as synthetic, oily, and saltwater based sludge.

Once incorporated into the drilling fluid, our additives act as high-performance viscous agents that stabilise the well and favour detritus removal. 

Thanks to its rheological properties and environmentally friendly nature, these additives are the perfect choice for hydraulic stimulation or fracking.

The increasingly extreme conditions in which oil exploration takes place makes choosing the correct drilling fluid crucial. Therefore, our solutions range has been carefully developed using various clays extracted from our mines worldwide, making our slurry additives a vital tool for developing conventional and unconventional oil drilling.

Mining

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

Horizontal drilling must withstand greater earth pressure, compromising the stability of the tunnel and making it difficult to carry detritus to the outside of the excavation.

Therefore, for the correct execution of horizontal boreholes, it is necessary to use the appropriate tools that enable a combination of high carrying capacity with adequate stability, especially in certain conditions such as tunnels with huge diameters or in complex terrains.
